GEOMINE 2026 Biannual International Conference

Organizer: Mongolian University of Science and Technology School of Geology and Mining Engineering

Conference Date & Location: October 08-09, 2026, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

The GEOMINE 2026 Biannual International Conference Organizing Committee invites researchers, engineers, industry professionals, policymakers, educators, and innovators to submit proposals for thematic sessions and hands-on workshops.

GEOMINE 2026 is a major forum aimed at fostering international knowledge exchange and collaboration in geology, oil, drilling, geodesy, land management, mining engineering, geometallurgy, mineral processing, environmental monitoring, sustainable development, digital mining, and geo-science education.

1. Proposal Categories

A. Thematic Sessions

Thematic sessions may include:

  • Scientific presentations
  • Project results and case studies
  • Expert panels
  • Interdisciplinary thematic discussions

Suggested topics (not limited to):

  • Regional geology
  • Advanced methods in mineral exploration and geophysics
  • Mine planning, modeling, and optimization
  • Geotechnical, rock mechanics, and stability studies
  • Mineral processing, geometallurgy, ore characterization
  • Environmental impact assessment and monitoring technologies
  • Mine closure, reclamation, and sustainable development solutions
  • Digital mining: automation, artificial intelligence, smart systems
  • Occupational safety and risk management
  • Oil and gas
  • Drilling
  • Geodesy, Land management
  • Mineral resource education and curriculum innovation

B. Hands-On Workshops

Workshops provide practical, participatory learning experiences. Examples include:

  • Field excursion

  • Laboratory and field methodologies
  • Safety simulations and risk assessments
  • Data analysis, machine learning, and digital mining applications
  • Curriculum development and innovative teaching methods

2. Proposal Submission Requirements

For Thematic Sessions:

  • 200–300-word session abstract
  • Key topics and expected contributions
  • Target audience
  • Format (presentation, panel, mixed)
  • Estimated number of participants

For Workshops:

  • Workshop title
  • Instructors and affiliations
  • 200–300-word detailed description
  • Workshop objectives and learning outcomes
  • Required materials, equipment, software
  • Duration (half-day/full-day)
  • Maximum number of participants

3. Submission Procedures

  • Proposal deadline: February 26, 2026

  • Notification of acceptance: March 06, 2026
  • Final program publication: March 16, 2026
